Who We Are

Established in 2014, Doggy Dash offers dog running, dog walking, cat sitting, and pet sitting services. We are a fully licensed, bonded, and insured company. Our goal is to provide pet care options that help your dog stay fit with daily on-leash runs or walks. We also want to ensure that when you are away from home you will have peace of mind that your dog or cat is receiving the love and attention it needs. We use PetCheck Technology software for real time GPS tracking and scheduling.

Doggy Dash offers an in-home consultation so we can fully understand your pet's needs. Contact us today to set up your free Meet & Greet.

Giving back is important to us! We will donate a portion of all proceeds to animal-related charities in the San Francisco Bay Area.

F.A.Q.

What neighborhoods do you serve?

Doggy Dash happily serves the following San Francisco neighborhoods: Marina, Cow Hollow, Pacific Heights, Presidio Heights, and the Inner Richmond.

We also offer services in Corte Madera, Larkspur, Greenbrae, San Rafael, and South Novato.

If you are located outside of our service area, please contact us for pricing.

How do I get started?

After you initially contact us, we will schedule a free in-home consultation, which is required of all new clients. At the “Meet & Greet”, we will meet you and your pet, get familiarized with your home and pet routine, and get all the relevant information about your pet’s needs. If the necessary paperwork has not yet been completed and submitted to us, we will complete it during our visit. At this meeting, we will pick up two sets of keys to your home and answer any questions you may have. After this initial Meet & Greet, booking future services can be done by email, phone, or through Pet Check Technology.

Do you run with or walk puppies?

We offer Puppy Visits for dogs who have yet to receive their full vaccinations. For running, the minimum age is 1 year (breed dependent). Please check with your vet to determine what the minimum age is for your dog's breed to ensure running will not potentially cause distress or damage.

Where do you go to run or walk dogs?

We will walk/run your dog(s) from your home in your own neighborhood. If you live close to a park and prefer that your dog be exercised there, please let us know. If you would like your dog(s) to get its exercise some place outside of your neighborhood, additional fees will apply. Dogs are always leashed regardless of the location.

How many dogs can run or walk together?

We take a safer, more personalized approach to caring for your dog(s) and do not walk more than two dogs at once.

Can you take my dog to the dog park?

We apologize, but we do not currently offer dog park outings.

Why is fitness so important for my dog?

SPCA studies have shown that over 40% of dogs in the U.S. are overweight and prone to increased health issues. Exercise offers the same benefits to canines as it does for people: tones muscles, helps prevent obesity, strengthens the cardiovascular system, strengthens bones, improves sleep, improves mood, provides mood-stabilizing benefits, enhances mental alertness and promotes health. Just like human, dogs need exercise!

What if my dog is not overweight?

Regular exercise is beneficial to your dog’s mental and physical health. Physical activity keeps oxygen flowing and other nutrients (such as glucose) at optimum levels in the brain. Please see the benefits of dog running on the home page.

What is the difference between Pet Sitting and Dog Walks/Runs?

Pet Sitting is a visit to your home to check on and visit with your pet, typically because you are out of town or have a busy schedule and need some help. During our visit, we provide food & water, playtime and/or a walk, and provide them with any medications if needed.

Cat visits are 20 minutes long and include feeding, playtime, and litter box cleaning. Please inquire if you’d like a longer visit or overnight pet sitting.

On a dog walk/run, we come to your home and take your dog for a walk/run. After the walk/run, we bring your dog back home, making sure that they have plenty of water to drink.

What types of pets do you provide services for?

Doggy Dash runs and walks only dogs. For pet sitting we provide services for dogs, cats, birds, and small caged pets such as rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs, rats, etc.

How will I be billed?

Payment is due upon receipt of invoice. We bill through the software, Pet Check Technology on a weekly basis. We accept cash, checks, PayPal, Venmo, and credit cards through Pet Check Technology.

Is Doggy Dash bonded and insured?

Yes, Doggy Dash is bonded and insured. What does this mean? This means that Doggy Dash is covered for any damage to property in their care, custody, and control, including your pet. We are happy to provide a copy of our policy at your request.

What type of special training do you have?

We are certified in Pet First Aid & CPR through PetTech, and are able to recognize and react to many emergencies.

What if my pet gets sick or hurt while I’m away?

During our Meet & Greet, we will get your pet's Veterinary information, which will allow us to seek medical care if the need arises. We will always try to reach you should an emergency arise.

Can you board my pet in your home instead of coming to our home?

We have a few sitters who can board at their home. Please inquire about this service option.

Can you keep my keys on file?

Yes, we prefer to keep your keys on file, and they are stored in a secured and locked key box. All keys are assigned a special code and will never have your address associated with them.
